Summary

My background in designing for companies small and family operated of 10 people to larger scale 150+ has primarily been in adventure, travel, and fashion lifestyle, from alpine climbing, ski/snowboarding to California throwback retro fashion lifestyle of the early skate days. My designing has always been for the adventurer that wants to be able to wear their style from the mountains to the beach boulevards to traveling to other countries to explore their mountains and beaches, while looking cool and casual, within trend in silhouettes, fits and color hits.

I have designed and developed for men’s and women’s (and some kids), swimwear, knits, wovens, sweaters, denim and other lifestyle pieces. My experiences have consisted of the full circle experience: creating concept boards, from researching trends at trade shows, fashion blogs and shows, as well as following fashion weeks around the world. I’ve presented these trends to the product development team, I then begin my designing process of drawing multiple hand sketches with fabrics, embellishments and wash in mind and present the line to the VP and Product managers. Once reviewed and approved, I’d converted these to Adobe Illustrator CAD’s, created tech packs with Excel, PDM systems and communicate these designs evolutions through multiple prototypes, fittings, traveling and reviewing these face-to-face with the overseas factory’s and vendors. I follow the products full design circle, from concept and creation to final production while maintaining all the many changes in-between. I love hand sketching as in Fashion Illustrations, as well as technical to ultimately convert them to CAD’s. I am very passionate at what I do and strive to create the best I can. I can bring original designs inspired by lifestyle, media and future trends to your company while collaborating within the design team and creating lines that fit your customer profiles.

My design growth these last 3 years at Marine layer in San Francisco, expanded my knowledge in more fashionable categories such as knits, sweaters, swimwear, denim and dresses, in which I have been often solely responsible in researching and managing in order to get the best fit and quality construction as well as design tweaks to produce the best pieces in the ever-growing line. I can take what I learned there in those main categories and carry this knowledge forward by designing for your company and use these tools and my passions to collaborate with the design team and take part in creating the best products there.
