Sam Hulbert

I am interested in natural resource decision-making and its importance for a sustainable future. My appreciation for natural resources and maintaining sustainable ecosystems comes from a life outdoors. I grew up on a small farm in rural New England, more recently my career as a professional snowboarder gave me the opportunity to explore mountain ranges and watersheds around the world. Snowboarding professionally built my background in action sports, events, and marketing products. The past 3 years I have worked as a coach internationally in Denmark and China for both private and government run snowboarding programs. These experiences have been much more than coaching. I have managed teams of people from different backgrounds, developed yearly plans, coordinated international trips, and hit company targets. I enjoy a fast paced work environment and active lifestyle. I will bring positive energy to a team, and a diverse skillset to execute various tasks and solve problems under pressure.
