Apparel Graphic Designer

I am a multidisciplinary Graphic Designer and Illustrator, with a BFA in graphic design and painting from Boston University. I have spent the past 4 years working for action sport, and lifestyle apparel companies in Boston and Los Angeles. My professional career showcases a strong combination of creative work in both apparel graphic design, and marketing. I aim to bring beauty into my work that speaks to its intended audience in a manner that is honest and unique. 

Design apparel graphics and textiles for graphic tees, hats, boardshorts, polos, wovens and various soft goods, for Special Make Up and Mainline.

Responsible for organizing and updating technical specification packages which include: final CAD, fabric, color, embellishment, and factory information.

Design Capsule Collections for the 4th of July, Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, Masters, and other major accounts; such as Lids, Dicks Sporting Goods, Zappos etc.

Design new trims, and research new techniques and trends seasonally.

Work closely with Product Developers to create pre-production samples. Make color comments and art updates, to ensure the quality of each garment.

Stay up to date with Industry trends, and present concepts for color palettes and designs seasonally.

Created graphics for promotional emailers and social media posts for advertising and marketing purposes.

Developed design concepts across complex services.

Designs were a mix of hand drawn elements, with clean layouts. They had an eclectic, youthful, urban vibe.

Freelance Marketing Graphic Designer

Used PLM software.

Designed t-shirt graphics for special New Balance affiliated road races such as Disneyland.

Developed the overall layout and design for online advertisements (Facebook, Instagram) catalogs, special events (eg. New York Road Runners), emailers, and Point of Purchase Kits in Flagship stores.
Coordinated and executed studio and campaign shoots for footwear and apparel. 

Designed the store graphics for the kids department at New Balance's Global Flagship store in Tokyo, Japan. 

Partnered with senior designers to design graphics in partnership with New York Road Runners, for the Brooklyn Half Marathon. 

Designed Graphics for Special Packaging Designs (eg. New Era Collaboration).

Conducted market research using feedback from sales, competitors, and trend shopping.

Created youthful designs that evoked the message of living a positive life. 

Utilized illustration and typography skills to design printable apparel graphics for the Global Women’s Tee Collection.

Ensured samples were correct and on time. made comments and approvals on color, fabric and artwork.

Tasks involved being skillful in illustrating by hand and translating illustrated work digitally.

Graphic designs created were used in the production of graphic tees, bags, iPhone cases, and mugs.

Freelance Apparel Graphic Designer

Conceptualized & executed designs for graphic tees for Hurley’s 2016 Women’s line and the Mens Special Make Up and Direct to Consumer collections.

Created technical specification packages for designs, and managed design quality throughout production.

Collaborated with the Sr. Design Director on conceptualizing, designing & executing special projects.

Create project presentation packages for internal and external parties.

Worked using PLM software.
