I have a demonstrated history of working in the apparel industry. I'm skilled in design, product development, technical design, project management, trend and competitor analysis, fashion illustration, garment construction, materials/trim development, athletic apparel, outerwear, sweaters, cut & sew knits, textiles, costing, sourcing, and apparel manufacturing.

Establish fit consistency across missy and women’s styles by evaluating garments for fit intent, compliance to spec and construction standards.  Collaborate with domestic and overseas business partners for accurate interpretation of design vision, fit and quality requirements.
•	Rebuild sketch/comment template in PLM system to facilitate expeditious style comments and improve sample turn time.
•	Provide sample comments with technical sketches, digital photos, and written communication in PLM system to enable vendors to properly execute development samples and bulk production.
•	Lead fit sessions on live models and dress forms.
•	Approve and issue graded specs for prototyping and bulk production.
•	Build proprietary, graded measurement chart templates for PLM system.
•	Develop and maintain efficient tracking reports for seasonal development to maintain buying and manufacturing timelines.

Technical Designer

Developed prototypes from design concept to production.  Fit samples and communicated sample corrections and revised digital patterns to vendors and cross-functional partners.
•	Built tech packs for the following categories: men’s and boy’s training, women’s outerwear, men’s and women’s hunting/fishing including technical illustrations/construction details, graded measurement charts, BOMs.
•	Initiated, reviewed, developed and approved all prototypes and pre-production samples in conjunction with designer and line manager resulting in saleable products.
•	Adjusted 2D and 3D patterns to achieve targeted fit and styling.
•	Ensured well-fitting, well-executed functional garments by applying principles of fit, construction and textile qualities.
•	Collaborated with Line Managers, Designers and Sourcing team to create and deliver functional products, at budget and on time.
•	Ensured quality and delivery expectations were maintained per corporate product cycle calendar by communicating daily with overseas factories and suppliers regarding development and fit of knit, woven and insulated prototypes, trims, textiles, and construction.
•	Developed product construction manual and fit standard visuals to ensure corporate consistency.
•	Trained and managed Assistant Technical Designers.

Technical Deisgner

•	Designed women’s, men’s and youth apparel products for Outdoor World Sporting Goods and Bass Pro Shops.
•	Prepared technical illustrations for spec packages.
•	Achieved client goals based on contract timelines.

Freelance Designer

•	Designed 100+ women’s, men’s, youth and accessory styles seasonally; developed styles from concept to bulk production.
•	Developed inspiration/trend boards and seasonal color palettes.
•	Managed the material development process from concept to manufacturing, including new material research and development concepts that were commercially viable.
•	Initiated and established internship program; trained/managed design interns.
•	Won Rising Star Active/Outerwear award from Fashion Group International of Denver, 2009.
•	Won Backcountry Magazine Editors’ Choice Award 2011 for Women’s Lunatic Softshell Pant design.
•	Spring ‘09 Women’s Kenosha Jacket design featured in Runners Magazine, March/April 2009.
•	Spring ’09 Men’s Kenosha Jacket, W’s Isotope Jacket designs featured in Outside Magazine - buyers guide, Summer 2009. 
•	Received first annual Sierra Designs MVP award, 2008.
