Payroll Manager

Maintain effective internal controls for the payroll function and proactively work with management to identify efficiency improvements and gaps.
Assist management in improving and enforcing processes and procedures to provide the most efficient and accurate payroll service possible.
Process payroll for 368 employees, 5 locations, 85% are technicians, Hispanic the majority, so I have to use my bilingual skills with their payroll issues.
Process and input employee changes such as deduction revisions, scheduled payments, benefit enrollment, form W-4 and banking information.
Off-cycle processing, voids and transaction follow-up.
Payroll data entry, data imports, computing and balancing payroll, auditing and posting, generating accounting data, distribution, reconciliations and reporting.
Audit of all inputs and results, utilizing preview and post payroll reports, performing error corrections as needed.

Maintain careful records regarding employee wages, benefits, and taxes. Process payroll for 160 employees, responsible for accurate interfacing of all payrolls into the general ledger, process garnishments, W-4 forms, 401K maintenance, implemented out of State payroll for new Company acquisition , maintain and upload Time & Attendance time cards into payroll, set up various automated reports and upgrades for management, run and reconcile employee benefits for billing purposes, helped with Workforce Now conversion from ADP Resource, prepare vacation accruals for accounting, track O/T for the Controller and many miscellaneous payroll tasks. Currently using ADP Workforce Now, latest version.
