Executive Creative Director


In February 2010, I had my first day in an agency. Fears and doubts started to fill my mind. But the fear of failure can be transformed into a powerful weapon.

Since that day I have learned many things. I learned how to write in many ways, I learned about the digital world and how to transform it into a communication channel, i learned presentation skills and how to sell an idea, I learned about business and strategy to create a clear stance and have effective and award winning campaigns

Natural born gamer

After two years as a group creative director, I finally arrived to a new roll:
Executive Creative Director for Tecnoquimicas, the biggest laboratory in Colombia and one of the biggest in all of Latin America.

Pharma and OTC were part of a category for which I had never worked
before, but as it has been a constant in my career, every new step comes with new learnings, and quickly enough I learned how different this new roll
was. Of course, it is not the same managing a team of 8 and then a team of
30 and I had to prepare myself for the task.

During my time in this role the team has stablished a work philosophy based on creativity and effectiveness. We changed the way of work and managed
to unite talents from different areas to create an agile team with knowledges in digital advertising, performance, media and good creativity.

In august 2015, started a new role as a Group Creative Director for Pepsico
food and beverage brands, El Corral Hamburgers (the biggest hamburger chain in Colombia, even bigger than Mcdonalds), Prever funeral services and Baloto the Colombian lotto.
I did no knew anything about directing a team but I had the good fortune to have marvelous people with me, most of them where people with whom
I had already worked, and they support me in every step of the way, and
together we learned a lot and created a team with capable of developing
work with a tremendous quality.

Everyone that made part of that team can proudly say that we brought
home numerous awards from creativity and effectiveness festivals, and as a
consequence of that, in 2016 we were cataloged as the most effective team in the agency.

Creative Director

I arrived at Sancho BBDO in 2013 as a Copy Senior to be part of a team of which everybody wanted to be part of, although in that moment I did not
know.

It was the team for Pepsico Food and beverages. I fulfilled my role for over two years and learned a lot in every step of the way. I learned about
consumer goods, I learned about creating truly effective campaigns and
ideas, I learned how to win at EFFIE and at festivals of creativity. But the biggest achievement of all was helping one of our brands in an achievement
that would make history. Thanks to the teamwork with our client, Pepsi Cola
achieved a share of market only two points down from Coca Cola.

Senior copywriter

Toro was a great experience for my career, it was the first time I was part of a team in charge of a bank, of course I had to learn a lot about banking.
I learned about credits, about bank account and their implications, about
future value and a lot of other things that are still useful for my everyday life.
This experience had another level of difficulty because this was a local
bank on a transition to be part of an international group, and they had
very big expectations about the Colombian market. But with work and communication strategies that involved offline and online touch points (In a time when digital advertising was very much unknown in the country)
we transformed Banco Colpatria del grupo ScotiaBank in the bank with the greater placement of credit cards in Colombia.

Copywriter

This was my first job, I learned a lot from every task I had. The agency was
very small so I had the same responsibilities of a senior copywriter, which
put me in a situation of having to learn even faster.
