Kim Deichmann

Summary

I began my career in graphic design after graduating from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration. Surrounded by the surf industry in sunny SoCal, I went to work for iconic surf brand Ocean Pacific, better known as “O.P.” There I gained an incredible appreciation for color and its ability to engage and move customers.

My career with O.P. later took me to England, where I headed up the company’s art department for four years. This work experience in Europe significantly improved my understanding of the world market and how graphic design plays an integral role in international branding.

From OP, I went on to become an Art Director for Burger King International, working closely with the company’s offices in the United Kingdom, Latin America, and Australia designing all their graphics for their overseas franchises.

Finally, in 1998, I started Grove Graphix (a design studio) in Laguna Hills, California. Since then, I have specialized in graphic design, web design, corporate identity, branding, brochures, advertising, packaging, and marketing for a large variety of clients and brands.
