Recruited into a dynamic start-up environment, I reinvented and elevated the tentree graphics category in the global outdoor marketplace, through surface design and color strategy. Helping to increase tentree
graphics program from 4 million to over 10 million. Establishing authentic audience connection through
graphics and pattern storytelling that amplifies the brand mission.
• Redefined the men's and women's graphics as a lifestyle approach. Propelled the tentree concept of tree planting through
visual artwork, amplifying the brand message and connecting the audience to the product.
• Built and managed aggressive 2-month product design/development calendar for surface design to ensure product was
current and relative to marketing brand stories. Resulting in best-selling styles and secured new SMU partnerships.
• Concepted and design-directed tentree surface design across categories of men's and women's clothing and accessories
including sweater knits, graphics, rotary prints and kids wear.
• Concepted and led seasonal color palette and cross-merchandising approach. Reduced palette size, saving time, $ and resources. Tentree received immediate recognition from wholesale partners, as leveraging color as strategic differentiator
in the outdoor marketplace.
• Lead all creative design efforts both internal and freelance for graphics and color. Directed all textile design and graphics.
• Managed SOP and lab dip approvals, strike-off reviews and quality reviews. Ensured cross-functional teams were included
on process and status of all yarn-dyes and strike-offs.
• Built reliable freelance artist team, directing and managing performance. Resulting in lowered cost per graphic and overall
budget savings of 25%.
• Set aggressive budget goals to streamline graphics system of process and reduce the overall cost of department, while
still adding a team member and keeping a workable calendar. Resulting in improved efficiency of my department while still
retaining artistic freedom and career growth for my team.
• Concepted and presented seasonal direction and big ideas for all categories surface design, to direct product design, visual
and merchandising and steer marketing efforts.
