Creative & Design

Produces works of design primarily for print including posters, stickers, and t-shirts.
Creates specialized graphics such as banners and splash pages for web use.
Develops visual concepts based on client needs and ideas.
Works within brand and style guidelines to deliver unique visual solutions.
Creates designs utilizing pre-constructed assets from previous designers and/or projects.
Engages in communcation and collaboration with clients both in person and remotely.

Teaches classes in AP 2D Art and Design as well as both Studio Art and Digital Art.
Mentors a group of high school age students in an advisory setting.
Serves as a member of the Equity Council.
Supervises weekly evening study hall for upper school students aged 13-19.
Writes individual student comments on a quarterly basis.
Coordinates the Winter afternoon Art Option and Coaches Thirds boys Soccer.

Visual Arts Teacher

13-18.
Taught evening activity workshops focused on the basics of ceramics.
Created curriculum and designed syllabi to inspire and encourage students.
Wrote individual student comments for each 3-week session.
Oversaw and mentored one to two apprentice teachers.
Lead overnight camping trips with groups of students in the Putney Forest.

Taught wheel throwing and hand building to high school students aged

Taught classes in AP 2D Art and Design, Painting, Digital Art, 2D & 3D Foundations.
Mentored a group of 8th grade students in an advisory setting.
Supervised weekly evening study hall for upper school students aged 13-19.
Wrote individual student comments on a trimester basis.
Coordinated and supervised the afternoon Arts Intensive Program.
Assistant coached the Junior Varsity boys Soccer team.

Taught wheel throwing to adult students from beginner to advanced levels.
Designed a curriculum based on the ever changing needs and desires of students.
Gave critique and commentary to foster development and experimentation.
Finished some work with a special firing technique known as raku.

Ceramics Staff

Taught wheel throwing to classes of adults and young girls aged 12-16.
Created a loose curriculum to encourage individual growth.
Gave weekly demonstrations as well as advice and guidance specific to each student.
Devoted 25+ hours each week to my own body of work.
Maintained cleanliness of the community studio.
Mixed glazes for the use of the studio, while keeping inventory of raw materials.
Loaded and fired weekly bisque kilns as well as larger gas reduction firings.
Frequently formulated and tested various glaze recipes to create a personal palette.

Instructor and Resident Artist

Taught an introductory ceramics class to students from sophomore to senior level.
Created a curriculum of technique based projects.
Demonstrated each of these techniques by completing a project of my own.
Focused critique on development of skills, and the use of art as a mode of expression.
Gave a brief introduction to wheel throwing in the form of a short project.
