Ali Can Ergur is a dual-qualified lawyer with extensive expertise in company law, AIFs, and contracts. Can has extensive expertise managing cross-border and strategic transactions for businesses across a wide range of sectors.

The New York State Bar Association and the Istanbul Bar both accept Can to practice law. He will start working as a Legal Advisor at Arendt & Medernach, a prestigious Luxembourg law company, in the near future.



Ali Can Ergur, a lawyer currently, completed his undergraduate studies at Bilkent University, one of Turkey's top three institutions. Ergur moved to the United States after receiving his B.A. in Law from Bilkent University, where he enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania Law School's Master of Laws program. Can Ergur studied law at Penn and received his LLM in 2014.



Can finished the Law & Business Program at Penn's Wharton Business School shortly after, earning his Law & Business Program Certificate.

From 2020 to 2021, he worked as a senior lawyer and in-house legal counsel at the Istanbul-based YHAS (Yildirim Group of Companies). Ali Can Ergur managed a variety of initiatives during his time at YHAS, including the preparation and negotiation of several purchase agreements and term sheets, as well as the administration and coordination of external counsel on JV and M&A projects in various countries throughout the world.



Can worked as a legal associate at Baker McKenzie from 2015 until 2019. Ali Can Ergur's responsibilities included creating a variety of contracts, agreements, and reports, as well as assisting foreign buyers and sellers on the sale of public and private businesses. He was also a member of the Private Equity and Energy & Infrastructure practice areas of the company.



Can began his legal career in earnest as a trainee lawyer at White & Case LLP. Can oversaw the compilation of many White & Case closing documents, due diligence reports, lawsuit and appeal petitions in conjunction with several tax litigation matters from 2012 to 2013.



Ali Can Ergur is a Turkish native who now resides in Luxembourg. Can spent a semester as an exchange student in Canada (2007-2008). Ali Can spends his free time putting together plastic scale models and performing jazz on his guitar.
