Maitri is a free, 501-C(3) non-profit, organization helping South Asian
women in situations of domestic abuse, cultural displacement, or unresolved
conflict.We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area, that primarily helps
families from South Asia (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka among others) facing domestic violence, emotional abuse, cultural alienation, human trafficking or family conflict.

The Harker school

Common Ground Speaker Series is a parent education consortium dedicated to inspiring strong families and engaging school communities through distinguished speaker events. Each year we present a slate of cutting-edge
speakers, topics and special events designed to inform, engage and inspire
our school communities.Common Ground began with eight member schools in
2002. Today, we represent more than 10,000 families at 31 schools, stretching
from Hillsborough to San Jose. Our events take place at a variety of venues on the Peninsula and showcase the most current thoughts on education, health and parenting.
An all-volunteer organization, Common Ground is led by representatives from each member school. Together, we work to provide a forum for parents and educators to learn, strategize and develop a sense of shared community.
