• Carried out the administration of program validation and certifications internally and with third-party auditors for all suppliers and the packer/processor networks.
• Formulated and cultivated close relationships with producers and processors to allow for maximum success.
• Served in an integral role by conducting site visits and cooperating with partners to drive improvements in access and pricing to animals, materials, and services.
• Drove the development of and instituted improvements in existing systems to administer supply forecasting and production planning of all proteins.

DIRECTOR OF PROTEIN SUPPLY

• Charged with overseeing all elements of supply chain management of raw materials from a global network of producers of Certified Humane 100% Grass-fed Beef.
• Administered program validation and certifications internally and with third-party auditors for all suppliers and the packer/processor networks.
• Provided extensive assistance and support in R&D and new product development through employment of expertise.
• Contributed extensively to the creation and maintenance of operational systems to administer raw material inventory through to production.
• Piloted the development of a raw material handling system to enhance and optimize carcass utilization with supply partners and to capitalize on supply opportunities that were not previously available.
• Fostered close and sustaining B2B relationships o allow for the transfer of material outside established retail and wholesale channels.

DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT

• Presided over and directed a wide variety of key business activities, operations, sales, logistics, and more.
• Navigated the organization and coordination of one of the largest 100% grass-fed beef producer group on the west coast while administering producers from central CA to central WA.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

• Led the development of and oversaw all elements of production, marketing, and sales of All-Natural Grass-fed Beef program.
• Cooperated effectively with groups of producers across 5 states to consistently deliver high-quality finished product 52 weeks of the year.
• Oversaw the coordination of the development and testing of new products, including packaging design and USDA label approval, facility vetting, recipe development, ingredient approval, and marketing and distribution of finished products.
• Carried out the establishment and maintenance of a portfolio of national sales accounts as part of assigned duties.

MANAGER OF US PRODUCTION & CENTRAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Supervised and directed all plant operations in a federally inspected plant covering all HACCP categories from Slaughter to Fully Cooked Ready-to-Eat.
• Led the development and implementation of HACCP plans, pre-requisite programs, food safety plans, safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and sanitation SOPs while ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
• Cultivated strong and lasting relationships with livestock producers, as well as conducting site visits and partnering with producers to better market their products.
• Carried out the development and submission of packaging labels to USDA for approval as part of assigned duties.
• Oversaw the establishment and maintenance of sales accounts with stores, restaurants, and institutions to ensure success.
• Provided supervision, leadership, and direction to a staff of 15-20 employees in all aspects of daily operations.
• Performed plant maintenance activities, including refrigeration, processing machinery, new equipment training, and general plant upkeep.
